It takes only about an hour to give blood, and each blood donation can help save up to 3 lives.
The Red Cross is the single largest supplier of blood in the U.S. and must collect 14,000 units of blood each day to meet the needs of:

- Surgical patients
- Those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease

Shoprite Pharmacy will offer flu, pneumonia, shingles, and whooping cough vaccinations to insured patients (insurance card presented at time of service).
Unique Interactive Colon Exhibit
Walk through the 20 foot Super Colon with 3-dimensional representations of Crohn’s disease, colorectal polyps and the different stages of colon cancer. Visitors will also learn about the importance of colorectal screening, prevention tips, and risks for developing colorectal cancer, symptoms, and treatment options.

10 AM to 2 PM
Hartford Hospital’s Mobile Mammography Unit, a 40-foot, high-technology medical bus, will be parked on the Loading Dock just outside the Total Life Expo. No insurance or appointment is required for this convenient, 15-minute screening.
Eligibility for a Screening:
Women over 40
Not nursing or pregnant
Not had a mammogram in the past year
Not currently experiencing breast problems
